I wanted to create a Seder plate that was big, beautiful, ornate, and would fit on the table. The 6 pointed Star of David perfectly matches the 6 places on the Seder plate, so I made little shallow dished which sit in their star point triangle spaces. During the ceremony, you can lift up each dish individually to show it. and see the names painted in Hebrew on the main plate.

The plate is 17.5” across at its widest point to point, and 5” tall.

It is made using my traditional majolica technique, hand made with terra cotta clay, low fire glaze and ceramic colors. It is hand painted and one of a series of only 3 pieces. The hand painted designs are inspired by pomegranates.

The platter and 6 little plates are the set. The Elijah’s cup is sold separately because I thought not everyone might want to get the cup. It is listed separately as Elijah’s Cup.

Each piece is hand made so any irregularities in surface and form are part of the art of each piece and are not considered flaws.
